SERVICED ON SITE
IN MINUTES
While conventional valves must be swapped and sent out for machining, StraightFlo™ valves can be refurbished on site without special tools or skilled labor.
They are as easy to service offshore as on dry land. And with no need to stockpile spare valves, you can reduce inventory by more than 80%.
The main benefit is an increase in Mean Time Between Failure on all of the compressors. We used to average 0.5 to 2 years, now we’re confident we’ll be able to get 5+ years or more. Our longest current run time is 3.5 years, and the valves still look great. ”

THE SECRET?
IT'S ALL IN THE
MODULAR DESIGN.
Our patented design delivers extraordinary reliability and efficiency by eliminating the common points of failure. There are no helical coil springs. No plates, rings, or poppets. No moving plastic components. In other words, none of the things that often fail rapidly in a compressor during operation.
Instead, the StraightFlo™ Valve features interchangeable reed valve modules that allow the gas to flow in a straight path rather than the tortuous path found in conventional valves, resulting in significantly reduced pressure drops and valve losses.
STRAIGHTFLO™ VALVES HAVE A HIGH RETURN ON INVESTMENT AND A SHORT PAYBACK PERIOD.
With each passing year, there’s growing concern about methane intensity. Legislation is becoming increasingly stringent and public scrutiny more intensive.
At Atlas Copco, we are committed to improving energy efficiency, reducing the carbon footprint of our customers, and doing the right thing for the environment. One of our primary goals is to help you achieve as close to net-zero as possible.

Replacing conventional valves with Straight Flo™ Valves improves compressor performance and efficiency, making the collection, transfer, and distribution of energy resources more eco-friendly.
Atlas Copco’s Valves’ StraightFlo™ Valves play a significant role in reducing environmental impact across various industries. These valves enhance efficiency by minimizing pressure drops and turbulence in reciprocating compressors, ultimately leading to reduced energy consumption and a lower carbon footprint associated with compressor operations. Importantly, they help tackle methane and CO2 emissions, potent greenhouse gases, by extending run times and reducing venting, blowdown, and flaring events, as well as by reducing emissions from engines and electricity generation.
Highly Efficient Valves = Less Fuel Used
Up To 10% Less In A Typical 1000 Rpm High Speed Pipeline Application.
Dramatically Reduced Methane Emissions
5x To 25x Less Burnt/Unburnt Emissions From Venting, Purging, Flaring/Blow Down Of Pipes.
Fewer Materials = Less Material Waste
No Machining, Replacement Seats Or Guards Means Far Less Discarded Material.
REDUCE NOISE AND VIBRATIONS
10X LOWER VIBRATION LEVELS
6-8 DECIBELS LESS NOISE
REDUCES AMOUNT OF SOUND DAMPENING INSULATION
IN FACT, ACCORDING TO A THIRD-PARTY COMPRESSOR PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS REPORT:
“THE VALVES OPERATE QUIETER WITH LESS CHATTER. THE DISCHARGE TEMPERATURES ARE ALSO ~14 DEGREES LOWER IN THIS TEST. THE UNIT PRODUCES MORE CAPACITY FOR AN AVERAGE OF 7% LESS HORSEPOWER. THE VALVES OPERATE COOLER WITH LESS VIBRATION.”
